I spent the first half of my career in corporate and investment banking — leveraged finance, M&A, DCM, and ECM. I managed billion-dollar client portfolios, carried P&L responsibility, and led teams across multiple functions. I reached a senior position before making a deliberate transition into software engineering.
For the past 8 years, I've been building production iOS applications in Swift. I currently lead a team at a major Canadian insurer, where our apps serve over 2 million active users. I also build backend services with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
